  • PHC must have at least two (2) years of direct clinical or supervisory experience or
at least three (3) years of supervised experience delivering services.
  • PHC must have experience working in a complex labor-management environment, and must understand labor relations and grievance procedures.
  • They must have at least two (2) years of quality experience consulting with management on mental health related matters.
  • PHC must be able to accomplish educational, preventive and promotional functions.
  • Depending on needs, they also must be willing to travel within a state or territory as well as nationally as highly visible, well-identified representatives of the AZ National Guard.
  • PHC must have experience working in a complex organizational environment, and
must understand labor relations, military operations, and the Military Health System,
TRICARE and VA as it pertains to the RC.
  • PHC must be willing to coordinate and consult with Reserves, ARNG and ANG leadership on all behavioral and psychological health initiatives and policy.
  • They must plan and coordinate region/state/territory/wing behavioral health related meetings and provide verbal reports of significant matters resulting from meetings or other events to COR within one day, and provide written summaries within one week.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Qualified PHC shall hold a Masters and/or Doctorate degree in a clinical or
administrative mental health field from an accredited college or university recognized by
the corresponding professional association(s).
  • Shall have a current state license or state certification as a mental health
practitioner (e.g. social worker, clinical psychologist, marriage and family counselor, and
professional counselor) in the state(s) where practice takes place. If such
licensure/certification is not available in that state, the individual shall hold appropriate
certification from a recognized national certification organization or board.
