We are currently accepting qualified applications for a SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM ANALYST to support one of our Government Clients at Bethesda, Maryland.
Job Summary:
The contractor shall provide expertise to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by providing professional expertise in microbiology molecular biology, biochemistry, infectious diseases, immunology, and bioinformatics; and cutting-edge vaccine research to improve understanding of immune responses and to identify new vaccine targets for HIV/AIDS, malaria, influenza, Ebola, Zika, and other pathogens and diseases. 

Position Objective:
The contractor shall provide expertise to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by providing responsibility for overall project coordination and communications, tracking, monitoring and reporting on project status and progress, and recommending modifications to project requirements and timelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Typical tasks that are assigned may include:
  • Assists with researching, interpreting and summarizing background materials from a variety of scientific sources
  • Compiles data and creates/prepares graphs, slides and presentations
  • Performs logistical planning of various scientific meetings, lectures, workshops, etc.
  • Attends meetings and prepares a summary of the meeting to distribute to attendees
  • Analyzes existing scientific programs and makes recommendations for improvement.
  • Develops and implements new scientific programs to fulfill organizational scientific goals and objectives
  • Assists with developing/implementing new organizational goals and objectives
  • Researches, interprets, and summarizes background materials from a variety of scientific sources
  • Coordinates various scientific programs and branch activities
  • Develops/maintains clinical database
  • Develops/prepares various scientific reports
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Life Sciences, or other related disciplines 
  • Two (2) years of experience in Biology or other related field
  • Excellent scientific communication skills, both oral and written
  • Demonstrated expertise in basic scientific principles, concepts and theories
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
