We are currently accepting qualified applications for a SCIENTIFIC PROGRAM MANAGER to support one of our Government Clients at Bethesda, Maryland.
 
Job Summary:
 The contractor shall provide expertise to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by providing professional expertise in microbiology molecular biology, biochemistry, infectious diseases, immunology, and bioinformatics; and cutting-edge vaccine research to improve understanding of immune responses and to identify new vaccine targets for HIV/AIDS, malaria, influenza, Ebola, Zika, and other pathogens and diseases. 

Position Objective:
The contractor shall provide expertise to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by providing responsibility for overall project coordination and communications, tracking, monitoring and reporting on project status and progress, and recommending modifications to project requirements and timelines.

Duties and Responsibilities
Typical tasks that are assigned may include:
  • Provides scientific experience needed to manage, design and implement policies and procedures related to the organization’s scientific programs
  • Collects, analyzes and creates scientific program information
  • Coordinates workshops and reports their outcomes
  • Evaluates current scientific programs and determines if changes need to be made
  • Assists in preparing/developing future strategic plan
  • Prepares and provides educational materials to staff
 
Minimum Qualifications:
  • One (1) year of experience in biology or other related field
  • Excellent scientific communication skills, both oral and written
  • Extensive scientific knowledge and research experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)

Minimum Education:
  • Master's Degree in a related discipline (Bachelor's Degree + 2 years of specialized experience may convey)
