We are currently accepting qualified applications for a SCIENTIST to support one of our Government Clients at Bethesda, Maryland.
Job Summary:
The contractor shall provide expertise to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by providing professional expertise in microbiology molecular biology, biochemistry, infectious diseases, immunology, and bioinformatics; and cutting-edge vaccine research to improve understanding of immune responses and to identify new vaccine targets for HIV/AIDS, malaria, influenza, Ebola, Zika, and other pathogens and diseases. 

Position Objective:
The contractor shall provide expertise to the National Institutes of Health (NIH) by providing responsibility for overall project coordination and communications, tracking, monitoring and reporting on project status and progress, and recommending modifications to project requirements and timelines.
Duties and Responsibilities
Typical tasks that are assigned include:
  • Performs research experiments in the context of the laboratory's overall research program
  • Plans and executes research experiments in the context of the laboratory’s overall research program
  • Provides support and mentors other laboratory staff on research projects and techniques
  • Analyzes and interprets research data, communicates results and methods in reports, presentations, and manuscripts
  • Collaborates with industry/academia to apply the results of research
  • Develops new techniques, products, or practices
  • Prepares presentations of research
  • Creates new research protocols

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in science related field 
  • Two (2) years of specialized experience in a science related field
  • Demonstrates experience in the research laboratory environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Outlook)
